5 WAYS TO SHOW MORE KINDNESS

Kindness doesn’t have to cost a lot, and in most cases, it’s free.

Here are five ideas on how to show more kindness.

SURPRISE SOMEONE WITH AN UNEXPECTED PHONE CALL OR VISIT.

When was the last time you called someone just to say hi? Or paid them an unexpected visit? Little things like this let people know that we are thinking of them and that we care.

PAY FOR THEIR COFFEE

The next time you are standing in line at your favourite café, why not pay for the coffee of the person behind you. That little gift can make a big impact in their day and I guarantee they won’t forget, they might even pay it forward.

DONATE

Do you have things lying around that you no longer use? Maybe there are toys that the kids have outgrown or clothes that you no longer wear, whatever it is, consider donating it. There are lots of families out there that rely on the generous donations of others.

That toy that sits in the corner of the cupboard long since forgotten could be a special surprise for a little kid on their birthday.

HOLD THE DOOR

This is something I do often. Whenever I am walking through a door and there is someone either coming or going, I hold the door for them. It might take a few extra seconds out of my day but it makes me happy, especially when it is a mum trying to wrangle her three kids and get them to where they are going without losing her shit.

SMILE

Do you remember the old adage that smiling is contagious? Well the next time you walk past a stranger and smile at them. Chances are, they will smile at the next person they walk past and so on.

So there are my quick 5 tips. The next time you get an opportunity to show some kindness, I encourage you to do so. It will make the person’s day, and it will make you feel WONDERFUL.
